Sensor fusion of a camera and laser range finder is important for the autonomous navigation of mobile robots. Finding the transformation between the camera and laser range finder is the first necessary step for the fusion of information. Many algorithms have been proposed, but these tend to require many different steps in order to achieve reliable and accurate results. A calibration structure that has triangular hole on its plane is proposed for the extrinsic calibration of a camera and laser range finder. Locations of laser scan data that are invisible on the calibration plane can be determined using property on the proposed calibration structure. First, we classify the laser scan data into two groups where one is on the plane and the other is off the plane. Then, we determine the absolute location of the laser scan data on the plane through a search of the parameters of the line. Finally, we can establish 3D-3D correspondences between the camera and laser range finder. Extrinsic calibration between a camera and laser range finder is found using a conventional 3D-3D transformation computing algorithm. The dynamic characteristics of the Korean Yi-dynasty bell type structure, including the acoustic effects, are analyzed both theoretically and experimentally. The numerical solutions of natural frequencies and mode shape for membrane and flexural behavior are obtained by using the NASTRAN program for the finite element method with plate shell elements of triangular and quadrilateral types. Test bells, A and B types similar to the Kap-Sa bell in Kong-Ju chosen among typical Korean Yi-dynasty bells, are manufactured on different scales to the original bell. To consider the effects of the variation of the structural dimension on the dynamic response, these bells are analyzed with respect to the variation of the thickness of the wall and the bottom rim and the asymmetric Dang-Jwas. The impact method with the Fast Fourier Transform Analyzer is adopted to experimentally assess the dynamic response. Results are in good agreement with the numerical solutions. 相似文献

Thermally induced errors reduce the accuracy in precision machining, and a great deal of research has been presented on compensation for these errors in machine tools. However, during the transition period after commencing or stopping spindle rotation, thermal deformation behavior is very complex. In particular, the y-directional movement of the vertical machining center cannot be explained by thermal expansion alone because of the relationship between deformation and temperature. Thermal bending that is generated from the thermal gradient in the structure causes this movement. In the research described in this paper, a theoretical explanation and an experimental verification is given for the particular behavior of spindle thermal deformation. As it is not easy to map the relationship of the compensation model, separation of the steady from the non-steady state in the mapping process is strongly recommended. 相似文献

A graft copolymer of 2-vinylnaphthalene (2-VN) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) onto ethylene–propylene–diene terpolymer (EPDM) was synthesized in tetrahydrofuran using benzoyl peroxide. The effects of EPDM content, and ratio of 2-VN to MMA, reaction time, reaction temperature, and initiator concentration in the graft copolymerization were examined. The light resistance, thermal stability, and the tensile properties of the graft copolymer were investigated by using Fade-o-Meter, thermogravimetric analyzer, and tensile tester. It was found that the light resitance and the heat resistance as well as the tensile strength of the graft copolymer are considerably better than those of the acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS) copolymer. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

We determined the optimal reaction conditions to minimize the energy cost and the quantities of by‐products for a poly(ethylene terephthalate) process by using the iterative dynamic programming (IDP) algorithm. Here, we employed a sequence of three reactor models: the semibatch transesterification reactor model, the semibatch prepolymerization reactor model, and the rotating‐disc‐type polycondensation reactor model. We selectively chose or developed the reactor models by incorporating experimentally verified kinetic models reported in the literature. We established the model for the entire reactor system by connecting the three reactor models in series and by resolving some joint problems arising when different types of reactor models were interconnected. On the basis of the simulation results of the reactor system, we scrutinized the cause and effect between the reaction conditions and the final quality of the polymer product. Here, we set up the optimization strategy by using IDP on the basis of the integrated reactor model, and the process variables with significant influence on the properties of polymer were selected as control variables with the help of a simulation study. With this method, we could refine the reaction conditions at the end of each iteration step by contracting the spectra of control regions, and the iteration process finally stopped when the profile of the optimal trajectory converged. We also took the constraints on the control variables into account to guarantee polymer quality and to suppress side reactions. Constituting six different strategies by setting weighting vectors differently, we examined the differences in optimal trajectories, the trend of optimality, and the quality of the final polymer product. For each of the strategies, we conducted the optimization to examine whether the number‐average degree of polymerization approached the desired value. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. MFI type inorganic carrier was used in two different cationic forms, hydrogen and calcium respectively. MFI-supported molybdenum
and rhenium catalysts were prepared. The activities of the catalysts were compared for the aromatization reaction of methane.
Higher activity values were attained with the catalysts supported on HZSM-5. Aromatics were also observed with the catalysts
supported on CaZSM-5, despite their deficiency in acid sites. Highly dispersed rhenium is expected to be formed with the use
of the inorganic carrier in calcium form. On the other hand, lower reaction rates were observed with rhenium supported on
CaZSM-5, in spite of the improved dispersion of the active rhenium species on this catalyst. This was interpreted in terms

Recent years have seen increasing attention and significant progress in many‐light rendering, a class of methods for efficient computation of global illumination. The many‐light formulation offers a unified mathematical framework for the problem reducing the full lighting transport simulation to the calculation of the direct illumination from many virtual light sources. These methods are unrivaled in their scalability: they are able to produce plausible images in a fraction of a second but also converge to the full solution over time. In this state‐of‐the‐art report, we give an easy‐to‐follow, introductory tutorial of the many‐light theory; provide a comprehensive, unified survey of the topic with a comparison of the main algorithms; discuss limitations regarding materials and light transport phenomena and present a vision to motivate and guide future research.
